Treats: Ulcers, Fin-Rot, Mouth-Rot, White Spot, Oodinium
Why? Certain species of bacteria such as Aeromonas and Pseudomonas cause fin, mouth and body tissue to be eaten away. Early diagnosis is essential to prevent the infection becoming fatal.
What? Marine Anti-Bacterial is an effective medicine against these bacteria. It can also be used to treat marine White Spot (Cryptocaryon) in a reef aquarium.
When? Use when fish have red wounds, ulcers, missing scales, red blotches, rotting fins or eroded mouth tissue.
White Spot To treat White Spot, apply a single dose of Marine Anti-Bacterial.
Caution This product will colour the water yellow. It will also stain skin and clothing, but is harmless to filter bacteria, all species of fish and is reef safe. Wait until the colour has faded, or at least 5 days, before carrying out water changes except in an emergency. Some invertebrates may lose condition when the treatment is first added, but will recover in a few days.
Poor water quality can be the primary cause of stress and disease in fish. Always monitor the water quality in your aquarium.
