Argulidae, the fish lice family, is well adapted to a variety of environments, including both marine and freshwater systems.

Even carefully built and maintained garden ponds that are kept healthy can become infected, though the fish louse is less common than other aquatic
parasites.

Contrary to the implication of their name, fish lice are not related to lice, which are insects, but instead are parasitic copepods. They’re more closely related to shrimp and crabs than to lice or insects.

How it Works:
Absolute Aqua-Vet Argulus+ Is an effective medication when used to target treat a pacific Parasite species.

Absolute Aqua-Vet Argulus+ Is a powerful chitin inhibitor. Absolute Aqua-Vet Argulus+ works by interfering with the development of the new chitin exoskeleton. So that the parasite will continue to feed and develop normally until it is time to shed its old exoskeleton it is at this point that the parasites die due to the inability to form a new exoskeleton and mouthparts not being able to form resulting in its death.

How To Use:
Add treatment on days 1, 15 & 30 Shake bag to decompact medication before measuring.

Recommended Dosage:
Add 1g of Absolute Aqua-Vet Argulus+ per 7.35 gals (33.36 L) of pond water.

Turn off Ultraviolet sterilisers then add the correct amount of medication to a watering can of pond water & distribute contents evenly across the surface of the pond. Turn Ultraviolet sterilisers back on after day 45.

When using with river type species such as Orfe, Rudd & Sturgeon ensure extra oxygen is provided. Always wear protective gloves when handling chemicals.

Do not use any other medications for 14 days after adding this treatment.
