Use Chlorine Answer when filling a new pond, after water changes and also when topping up the pond to replace water that has evaporated.
Using a dechlorinator like Cloverleaf Dechlorinator is essentail to maintain the bacterial filtration your pond needs to stay clean and healthy. If not used chlorine in tap water will kill of the bacteria.
